1. Belltown’s latest restaurant opening is made possible by neighboring chefs at Pike Place Market: Darlene Boline of Zaccagni’s and Cajetan Mendonca of Saffron Spice. Their joint venture, Vittles, “offers comfort food with a burst of cultural influences” in addition to cocktails from Brian Troxell.

2. Spinasse celebrates its sixth anniversary starting today through Sunday with a special menu featuring favorite dishes from the past six years. Guests can partake in the five-course dinner for $65 per person with an optional $35 wine pairing. Items include a tajarin with shigoku oysters and leeks and rabbit meatballs with stuffed cipollini, chanterelles and caramelized honey sauce.

3. Seattle Cider Company is celebrating its one-year anniversary next weekend. The company also announced they’re expanding production and distribution, so much so they’re set to become the second largest cidery in Washington. The anniversary celebration runs August 23 from 1 to 7 p.m. with 15 ciders on tap, including a limited edition single malt barrel-aged New England Style cider.

4. Westward and The London Plane are among 50 restaurants nominated for Bon Appetit’s list of America’s best restaurants. The top 10 will be pared down and announced on August 19.
