1. Bars and retailers will soon have the ability to fill growlers with hard cider, thanks to a law passed by Washington legislators. Once Governor Jay Inslee signs the bill, you can take your cider to go, just like beer – an option that has, until now, been illegal.
2. Mutsuko Soma of Miyabi 45th and Travis Kukill of Epic Ales’ Gastropod are teaming up for an upcoming six-course beer pairing dinner. Each chef will create three courses paired with beer from Epic Ales. Diners who correctly guess which chef has created each course will win beer and a tour for two of Epic Ales’ SODO brewery. The dinner will take place on March 24th at Miyabi 45th in Wallingford.
3. In other dinner news, Maria Hines has announced she’s hosting a six-course raw dinner on April 2. Each course will come with optional wine pairings, and Hines will be on hand to discuss the benefits of raw foods and preparation techniques.
