Your Daily Dose of Food News, Events and Must-Read Miscellany

1. After serving Spanish-inspired fare in Capitol Hill’s Loveless Building for the past six years, Olivar is up for sale. The space has housed restaurants for more than eight decades, including (for a flash in the pan) Coco La Ti Da and Fork, and before that Bacchus and the Byzantian. CHS reports that the Joe Bar neighbor is offered at $125,000.

2. Woodinville boutique winery Robert Ramsay Cellars is launching a wine tasting room in Upper Queen Anne. Queen Anne View reports that the nine-year-old producer of Rhone varietals from Washington-grown grapes will serve wine flights and sell bottles. Expect a March opening.

3. A reminder that in addition to folk art and pottery, Capitol Hill’s Cintli serves coffee, microbrews and scratch-made pupusas, tamales and empanadas. Named after the mythological Zapopan Goddess of Corn, Cintli launched in the former Bleu Bistro space on Broadway Ave. in 2013.

4. Zagat posted takeout best bets for Sunday’s Big Game. The list includes Colonel Sanders-shaming bird from Ma’ono Fried Chicken & Whisky, Big Mario’s fat slices and a “drool-worthy antipasti bar” from DeLaurenti.
