1. Dana Tough and Brian McCracken’s meat and booze-based venture The Old Sage is scheduled to launch today at 1410 12th Ave. on Capitol Hill. Open daily at 5 p.m., it’s the latest restaurant from the duo behind The Coterie Room, Spur and Tavern Law.
2. Westcity Sardine Kitchen is slated to open this Friday at 3405 California SW in the space vacated by The Bohemian back in 2010. According to the West Seattle Blog, the seafood-centric menu will include “something for everyone.”
3. Hey, Spam-lovers: The 3rd Annual Momo Spam-O-Rama is scheduled for Saturday, August 10 during Nihonmachi Nite in Japantown. The contest for this year’s best musubi (that’s Spam sushi for the uninitiated) starts at 5:00 pm inside home design and clothing boutique Momo at 600 S. Jackson St.
4. Seattle Magazine reports on a handful of restaurant that opened in recent weeks you may have missed, including Vif and Blind Pig Eastlake.
