1. Evergreens Salads will open its doors on 3rd and Marion in downtown Seattle during the last week of August. The gourmet greens spot is owned by a pair of native Seattleites who ditched corporate jobs in Manhattan to return to the Emerald City and launch the fast-casual salad spot. The menu features homemade dressings and prioritizes local, organic ingredients. Hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. Check Facebook for updates.

2. Seattle Food Tours just launched “Capitol Hill Social.” It’s essentially a progressive dinner for groups ranging in size from two to a dozen featuring five eateries along the Pike/Pine corridor. Who’s in the lineup? Bar Cotto, Artusi, Momiji, D’Ambrosio and The Tin Table. Reservations can be made at www.seattlefoodtours.com.

4. The second annual Northwest Tequila Fest is happening outside the Phinney Neighborhood Center on Saturday, August 24. This year, more than 130 tequilas and mezcals from 40 producers will be on display, with food from vendors including Little Water Cantina and Poquitos. The event runs from 4:00 to 9:00 pm. Tickets are available online.
