3. Credited with inventing a new method for catching wild salmon at a low speed that lessons stress, Bothell-based Triad Fisheries just celebrated its 35th birthday. Triad’s salmon will be on the menus of West Seattle sushi spot Mashiko and Fremont’s Ponti Seafood Grill and for sale at area Town & Country markets in late August.
4. The vendors scheduled to serve food at this weekend’s Pickathon Fest down in Happy Valley, OR look as good as the the lineup. Wildly popular Portland-based restaurants will be on hand, including Pine State Biscuits and Bunk Sandwiches. Drinks come from Hopworks, House Spirits Distillery and more. If you go, bring your own dishware or it’ll cost you ten smackers.
