1. Mobile Food Rodeo’s big ole Seattle Street Food Festival is this Saturday, August 10 at Cal Anderson Park in Capitol Hill. Highbrow and lowbrow eats from dozens of restaurants, food trucks and vendors will available, including oysters from Narwhal and burgers from Lil’ Woody’s. The event features a pop-up picnic dinner, kid’s area and night market. Click here for tickets.
2. Eating, drinking and dancing under the stars awaits at the Sunset Supper at the Market next Friday, August 16. The annual event in Pike Place Market’s arcade includes dozens of local restaurants, breweries, wineries and distilleries (The Ruins! Holy Cannoli! Letterpress Distillery!) Tickets are $100 and available online, but at last check less than 100 remained, so don’t wait.
3. Tom Douglas is throwing his 2nd Annual Lawn Party and Croquet Tournament at the South Lake Union Discovery Center Park on Sunday, August 11. All proceeds benefit Food Lifeline. Spectator tickets are ten bucks in advance, with wine, beer and food available. Learn more here.
4. Proof that it’s still summer, even though school started last week in some parts of the country: Cupcake Royale’s cupcake of the month is Strawberry Shortcake. It should pair well with Royale’s Oregon Hill Strawberry ice cream.
