1. Kimchi fries, anyone? My Ballard reports that Kimchi House opens tomorrow on 24th Ave. NW in the former O’Shan Sushi space. Don’t forget to stop at the ATM along the way–the Korean deli will be cash only.

2. Macrina Bakery released its 20th Anniversary Loaf this week. The rustic bread is being featured as a part of the local chainlet’s week-long birthday festivities. Owner Leslie Mackie is signing Macrina cookbooks at each location tomorrow, check Facebook for event details.

3. Seattle-based social gifting app Gratafy is rolling out version 2.0 in the L.A. market today. The app that lets friends send food and drinks as gifts via Facebook launched in Seattle last fall.

4. Tavolata is taking reservations for its next Sunday Feast Dinner Series on September 8 at 6 pm. The late-summer family style dinner is $65 and features local salmon in three of the four courses. Call 206-838-8008 to reserve a space at the communal table.
