1. The happy marriage of package mailing center and espresso shop, Sip & Ship reopened its Greenwood location yesterday at 7511 Greenwood Ave. N. If you need, say, notary services, a Phinneywood t-shirt and a 12 oz. Herkimer drip, you know where to go.
2. A made-over Community Concessions program debuted last Saturday at the Seahawks preseason opener at CenturyLink Field. KOMO reported on the endeavor, which features a stand on the main concourse and stalls on the stadium’s upper levels selling bites created by local eateries, including Salumi, Rain Shadow Meats and a handful of I.D. restaurants.
3. If you’re already planning for the weekend: Picnic blankets and lawn chairs are welcome at this Friday night’s Family Happy Hour at Populuxe Brewing in Ballard. The monthly event kicks off at 5:00 pm and includes burgers and fries from Curb Jumper Street Eats, Bluebird Ice Cream and a fully stocked bubble bar.
4. Sunday’s annual Melrose Market Street Festival features a beer garden from Hilliard’s, live music and food from Terra Plata, Taylor Shellfish and Mamnoon. The event kicks off at 11:00 am and lasts until 4:00 pm, with all proceeds benefiting Teen Feed.
