This is our first annual edition of Seattle Weekly‘s 100 favorite restaurants.
The idea here is to pay homage to a wide range of eateries that have, in one way or another, kept us salivating, ordering, and, most importantly, coming back. At first, compiling the list seemed harder than serving souffl頴o the congenitally tardy. Could we actually whittle the broad spectrum of Seattle restaurants down to a mere 100? Using our trusty food critics, numerous recommendations, and opinionated staffers, we’ve foraged and gorged ourselves until we could stand it no more. We found that despite the chaos and turnover in Seattle’s restaurant landscape, it’s a good time to be a diner-out in this town. There’s something in every price range worth the trip (or the tip), and even the pickiest palates can revel in a tried-and-true choice. In the following pages you’ll find the goods on 100 places worth your mealtime, plus our restaurant of the year—for this year, anyway. Next year, we’re confident, will present a new challenge.
