So why not do something different this year? Take a cooking class and make dinner for your significant other. The Pacific Culinary Studio in Everett has a “Men Only–Cooking for your Sweetheart” class from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 3. Rachel Duboff, chef/owner of Thyme to Nourish, will walk you through the steps to make a Caesar salad, smoked-paprika and Spanish olive-braised short ribs with polenta, and–this will melt her heart–a flourless chocolate torte with whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Oh, buddy boy, you just got lucky. The class is $45.Here’s another option: Chef Lisa Nakamura–formerly at the Herbfarm and now on Orcas Island at Allium–will teach a class focusing on a romantic menu on Feb. 1 at Dish It Up.
