Uli’s Famous Sausage in Pike Place Market is opening a cafe adjacent to its meat counter.Karl, Uli’s quality-control manager, tells me they plan to open Saturday, with seating for about a dozen people — and booze. Uli’s, which has always had its liquor license, will start taking advantage of it by serving wine and beer. Currently, the cafe looks like this:Photo taken through crack in the paper covering the window. The place will be open during Uli’s regular hours (M-Su, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), but could possibly extend to later hours, depending on demand.Karl also tells me the full remodel won’t be complete until winter.
