The Little Red Studio, notable for its “Beauty, Art, and Erotica,” is now trying for that fourth title, “Food.” The Little Red Bistro is now open in the Dexter Ave. spot, and offers meals all day as well as a full bar. Mezzaluna Cafe closed its cute little doors last Sunday. Less than a year after it opened, owner Lauren Jackoweic said slow business and ownership problems gave her no other choice. Another relatively new restaurant also closed down, this time in Ballard. The My Ballard blog let us know that Il Giardino, the little Italian restaurant on 65th, is now closed. A sign on the door thanks Ballard for their support. Ending with some upbeat news, Queen Anne is getting some Northern Mexican “cowboy-like” food! Laredos Grill — with claims to serve the food of the northern states in Mexico, not New Mexico or Tex-Mex — opened last week on the corner of Aloha and Taylor. As of now, it’s only open for dinner 4 p.m. and later, but hopes to expand its hours by late August.
