Supreme Madison Park’s latest temple to gastronomy has some suggestions for light summer dining: How about an opener of artichoke frites with aioli dip ($8) or clams saut饤 in scallions, sake, and fermented black beans ($11)? Consider a salad of ruby grapefruit and avocado with watercress, green olives, and toasted hazelnuts ($8), or shrimp remoulade with celery-root slaw ($9), with perhaps a whole grilled trout with saut饤 escarole in a green-olive vinaigrette to follow ($19). 1404 34th, 322-1974.

The Pink Door Now open from 4 p.m. on Sundays, with a light summer menu featuring chilled soups—like roasted tomato with basil-mascarpone finish or cream of watercress ($5.50)—and a “pasta-kerchief” of fresh crab and shrimp napped in tarragon cream ($17.95). Plus the gender-ambiguous song stylings of Las Vegas’ own Joe Moron-o. 1919 Post Alley, 443-3242.

Le Pichet As bistrot as it gets in the 1900 block of First Avenue, with hors d’oeuvres like ham-wrapped warm goat cheese on bitter greens ($8) and a country fry of eggs, chicken livers, and madeira ($7). Continue with a plate of cured ham, salmon, or sausage ($8 to $10). Order an hour ahead for the whole roast chicken with potato fritters ($30 for two). And remember, no food served Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 1933 First, 256-1499.

Luigi’s Grotto Here’s a concept: On Sunday’s only, drop down to Pioneer Square’s Italian catacomb, dine, drink, and enjoy from the special menu, and “when it comes to the bill—it’s up to you!” No kidding: Chef DeNunzio’s made this offer before and he’s not scared, so why should you be? 102 Cherry, 343-9517.

Berries, berries, everywhere: Puget Summer and Rainier strawberries are in season, with raspberries, gooseberries, and currants (red and black) abounding. Local Rainier and bing cherries are giving way to lamberts and vans. Along with greens galore, farmed organic Lion’s Mane, shiitake, and oyster mushrooms are widely available. And basil! We almost forgot basil!!!
