So this week, what with the Seattle Weekly Food Awards being announced tomorrow and the presentation of this year’s Pellegrini Award, the Voracious Tasting event we’ve got going at the Paramount Theatre and the Chef Showdown that’ll be going on, there’s going to be no regular restaurant review in this week’s issue. What we’ve got lined up for you instead is a series of profiles on this year’s Pellegrini, Sustainability and Innovation award winners and, just for you crazy food junkies out there, a special essay written by Ruth Reichl.Yes, that Ruth Reichl. No foolin’.But I know that a lot of you out there get excited when I’m able to tease the upcoming review here on the blog. For those of you who see the review just as another excuse to spout off about how much you hate my punk ass, the extra day’s warning gives you some time to sharpen your outrage and look up a bunch of clever new names to call me. For you fans, the Tuesday Tease lets you know that I did, in fact, manage to write another restaurant review this week and didn’t just spend all my time laying around on the couch, taking pot-shots at the TV with my six-shooter like Fat Elvis, and eating candy.Because I don’t want any of you to be disappointed, I’ve decided that I would offer a sneak-peek at the winner’s list just for you die-hards still reading this late in the day. No one else will know who got the big prize until tomorrow. But you? You’re special. You’re still hanging tough after quitting time. You are what makes America great. Now click through the jump and get your look at this year’s winners.Wait, you didn’t seriously think I was going to give it away like that, did you?Really?Sorry, kids. Not today. But, if you really are dying to know who took home this year’s awards and didn’t manage to score tickets to the Voracious Tasting event where the winners are being announced, have no fear. Pick up a copy of the paper when it hits the stands tomorrow morning and you’ll know all there is to know. We’ll be discussing each of the awards in depth, talking to the winners, and running down the reasons why each of them are so awesome. All of that and more in tomorrow’s Seattle Weekly. Check it out wherever fine newspapers are given away free.
