Here’s a brief rundown of restaurant news this week…
Plato Mexicano at El Camion
Two taco trucks have added third installations to the city. In Ballard, a new at El Camion is in business in the Mud Bay parking lot at 5314 15th Avenue Northwest. And in Greenwood, Rancho Bravo has a trailer and eating space at the 76 gas station parking lot at 10500 Greenwood Avenue North.
Take pho over tacos? A new Vietnamese restaurant called Pho Aroma opened over the weekend at 5606 Delridge Way Southwest in West Seattle.
For all-American grilling (with vegetarian options and late weekend hours), visit Uncle Mike’s Barbecue at 9640 16th Avenue Southwest in White Center.
In sandwiches: Ballard-based, East Coast-style sub shop The Other Coast Cafe hopes to expand to 721 East Pike Street on Capitol Hill by October. And The Fighting Cock Roaster at 2809 Thorndyke Avenue in Magnolia has closed.
And lastly, for cappuccinos and croissants, keep an eye out for an upscale Parisian-style bakery, La Reve Bakery, coming to 1805 Queen Anne Avenue North.
Until next time, foodies…
