Photo courtesy adventureswithbarack.comI think that, by now, everyone knows that Barack Obama made a stop in Seattle today. I’m pretty sure that almost everyone knows that he sat down this afternoon with a bunch of small business people at Grand Central Baking Company in Pioneer Square (but if, for some reason, you don’t know that, you can check out the details on what his President-ness ate and what he thought about it right here). And if you’ve really been paying attention (or if you’re one of those people that tracks the movements of celebrities in town with creepy, stalker-ish fixation), you might know that he also made a stop by one of Tom Douglas’s operations for a second lunch and some coconut cream pie bites. But did you know that President Obama also digs him some Top Pot Donuts? That he hangs at Icon Grill and Kingfish Cafe?Trust us. He does. And we have the pictures to prove it.Well, okay. Maybe the real Barack Obama isn’t doing all this. But in the strange (and strangely brilliant) mind of Barack’s Friend at adventureswithbarack.com, the President of the United States likes churros, making his own pizzas, bowling, watching the Twilight movies and hanging with First Dog, Bobby Jingles. Oh, and also? Eating out. A lot. This is straight from the “About” page at adventureswithbarack.com:”Barack and I met by chance at SeaTac airport just a few weeks before the 2008 election. As you can imagine, Barack was under quite a bit of pressure to pull off a victory. I was headed on vacation, and he was looking for an adventure to get his mind off the election for a few days, so I invited him along! Our friendship quickly blossomed, and Barack now entrusts me with sharing the more unique aspects of his life with the world. We both hope you enjoy this special look into the life of a man most refer to as Obama, but who I fondly call Barack. Yay.”And I swear to god, I just can’t tell if this is genius or just plain demented, but I can say that I never thought I’d get as many laughs out of a digital camera and a POTUS action figure as I did while perusing the posts at Adventures With Barack. So check it out, won’t you? While you might’ve missed seeing the President chilling at Grand Central this afternoon, now you can see (the bobblehead version of) him making cookies, eating a churro or putting down an order of french fries at In-n-Out without ever leaving your couch, which is just as good.Kinda.UPDATE: Because this is 2010, everyone has their own youtube channel. Barack’s Friend is no exception. So check out the world’s greatest plastic president hanging out around D.C., running in the Seattle Marathon, doing yoga and going to Disneyland here at the Adventures With Barack channel. You’re welcome in advance.
