Next Wednesday, September 9, visit the bar at Studio 1000 starting at 5 p.m. for $3 wine pours, complimentary appetizers from BOKA, and an intimate talk about the current Imogen Cunningham exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum. As part of Studio 1000’s continuing “In the Studio” series, Marisa C. Sanchez, SAM’s Assistant curator of modern and contemporary art, will discuss the photographer’s work, which spans almost 60 years starting in 1915. Over a glass of wine or two, you’ll learn that Cunningham is best known for her portraits of Alfred Stieglitz, Frida Kahlo, and her husband (on Mount Rainier) — some of the earliest known male nudes captured by a female photographer. And the food’s free. Studio 1000, 1010 First Ave., 357-9000. $3 glasses of wine, free appetizers.
