Motore Coffee needs adding to your cafe roster–at the corner of 9th and Stewart, two blocks east of the new courthouse, and a mere three blocks from Pacific Place. The decor is Milan mod, with black leather and molded plastic accessorized by scooter chic. They serve Caffe Vita coffee, make proper panini, and carry Fiori chocolates. There are four Macs free for use with coffee purchase, and free wifi if you bring your own. It’s a great, indie spot to visit before braving the downtown megaplexes or hoping a Greyhound (every visit, I see an obligatory backpacker.).

They also have booze, including the top three things I drink during the day: Lillet, Guinness, and Irish Cream. A small, rotating wine selection, includes the top notch Elena Walch Pinot Grigio and other cool finds. Session lager, Chimay and Paulaner are among their other beer offerings.
