Like brats, tots, and cheese? (Really, who doesn’t?) Open as of last Friday in West Seattle’s former Admiral Benbow Inn (4210 W. Admiral Way) is the Heartland Cafe. Its specialty: Midwestern comfort food. Because everything is comfort food when it’s smothered with cheese.
Mmm… tots…
Also, if all goes accordingly, West Seattle will also have an ale and wine house in the Admiral District by May. The Cask will serve local, independent-label wines and 150 imported beers.
Over in Belltown, Spanish tapas bar Txori announced it will close its doors on April 19. (Quick, that leaves a little over a week to indulge in their stuffed squid and fried bread!) Taking over the space will be another tapas bar called Pintxo, which bares no relation to Txori.
