Maybe you couldn’t get a reservation at your favorite place for the big day (cough, procrastinator, cough), or maybe you’re a Mr. Bitterman like me (and every other restaurant ex-pat) and can’t handle the sheer magnitude of love and crazy that is a restaurant on Valentine’s Day. Sunday, the Wild Ginger is hosting a dinner featuring the Riesling of Germany’s Armin Diel and Washington’s Poet’s Leap. Riesling loves southeast Asia and is the natural match for the Ginger’s Pacific Rim flavors. Armin Diel, one of Germany’s highly regarded winemakers, also helped to create Poet’s Leap and will be in attendance. Fresh baked oysters, sugarcane shrimp, lamb and sea bass, at least seven flavors meat for you and your date to enjoy. Feb 11th, 6:30pm, $110 per person includes tax, gratuity, and valet parking. Contact the Wild Ginger for more details or to make reservations call 206.623.4450.
