Just recently, a foodie friend gushed about the salmon sandwich at Market Grill, down on Pike Street. A google search brought up this 50 States, 50 Sandwiches piece from Zagat last summer, in which they chose a seminal sandwich from each state. Their pick for Washington? The Salmon Sandwich From Market Grill! I’m embarassed to say I haven’t tried it yet–but it’s definitely on my list now. Which sandwich do YOU think best exemplifies Washington, or even just Seattle?

And, totally unrelated to Washington, but a Lake Trout sandwich for Maryland (my home state)?! Please, it’s all about the Soft Shell Crab sandwich!
