In West Seattle, the saga of the owners of Jade West Cafe continues, according to the West Seattle Blog. Last December, a drunk driver struck Cafe owner Wah Wong, his wife and his son. The driver hit the trio outside their Beacon Hill home and all were seriously injured. Police arrested Rodney James, who recently pleaded guilty to vehicular assault. Now, with the family still recovering, Wong’s son is seeking letters of support for the upcoming sentencing hearing. According to the Blog: “Jimmy wants to get this word to all his dad’s customers, so please share this news: The address is jadewestcafe@gmail.com. Don’t send them the support statement yet — just write and say you’d like to. Do send that first e-mail fast — Jimmy says there’s not much time to get the messages to the right people, before James’s sentencing (1 p.m. Feb. 12, before King County Superior Court Judge Julie Spector).
