First off, Autum Martin’s Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery is now up and running at 5427 Ballard Ave. The founder of Seattle’s notorious take-and-bake molten cakes says that opening her own shop has been a dream in the making for several years. Everything on the menu is made using only organic ingredients, including the creme brule, s’mores cookies, and even the — wait for it — grilled chocolate sandwiches. “We spread dark chocolate ganache between two slices of my favorite bread from Grand Central Bakery and grill it,” Martin says. So how does Martin stay so svelte? She laughs. “Moderation!”

In Pike Place Market, I Love New Deli is now closed. The University District location has also shuttered.

In Queen Anne, Collections Cafe is now open at Seattle Center’s Dale Chihuly monument.

And lastly, in Wallingford, a quick-serve Mexican restaurant called TNT Taqueria is opening at 2114 N. 45th St. in July. The establishment will be run by Chow Foods, which currently operates the 5 Spot and Endolyne Joe’s.
