Goodbye, Divine…Smile, winos! A 23,000-square-foot wine superstore is moving into the former Office Max space (400 Northeast 45th Street) in Wallingford, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal. Wine World will feature wine tasting counters, meeting rooms, and an espresso bar. In addition to Northwest and international bottles, it will sell wine-related accessories, chocolates, and cheeses — similar to the wine shops in California. In sadder news, The Seattle Times reports that Divine (7919 Roosevelt Way Northeast) in Maple Leaf is now closed. The Greek restaurant’s owner Vivian Peterson says business has been slow and that she hopes to reopen in another location “someday.”
