Jennifer Hall, executive director of Chefs Collaborative, a national network of “food community” people supporting sustainable cuisine, and who serves as a consultant to restaurants in Seattle, has been named to the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Organic Standards Board. She will represent environmental- and health-conscious consumers before the USDA, helping ensure that all foods and products marked as “organic” are held to standards. Her term begins Jan. 24.
