Ethiopian culture and cuisine is on display later this month in Langley on Whidbey Island. An Ethiopian coffee ceremony and discussion about food anthropology and the influence of the country’s green coffee crop is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25. That’s followed on Saturday, April 27, with a cooking class and traditional Ethiopian-style dinner. The evening will feature ethnic dance, music and dishes, including Azifa (lentil salad) and Doro Wat (spicy chicken stew) with plenty of Injera for sopping it all up. All events are held at the NWLA Cultural Center on 5023 Langley Road. Click here for tickets and more info. In other news, Rione XIII just launched happy hour.
