Dozens of eateries in Seattle and on the Eastside are participating in this year’s Dining Out For Life event. A portion of today’s proceeds from restaurants, including Barrio, Via Tribunali and Volterra will be donated to Lifelong AIDS Alliance. In addition, select participants, including Caffe Vita, Skylark Cafe, and Six Arms are contributing half of the day’s sales to the non-profit. The annual fundraiser is held in 60 cities across the U.S. and Canada. Seattle Weekly is a sponsor of this year’s Seattle event. Click here for details.

In other news, Eater reports via the Senate Democrats blog that a bill was approved earlier this week that enables up to three microbreweries and wineries a day to serve free samples at Washington State farmers markets. The bill awaits a signature from Gov. Inslee.
