Changes keep coming to Capitol Hill’s 15th Avenue East. Following the recent shutterings of North Hill Bakery and Bagel Deli, 22 Doors served its last customers on New Year’s Eve.
Nikola’s has (re)launched in Wallingford. The diner was opened in the former Rusty Pelican spot by Costas Antonopoulos, who owns the building and operated a Nikola’s in the same space years back. Antonopoulos has rolled out several Greek eateries around the city over the years, including the dearly departed Costas Opa on the corner of North 34th Street and Fremont Avenue North.
If you’re planning to kick off the year with a liquid detox, Capitol Hill’s Juicebox offers a guided cleanse that includes recipes and other motivational stuff from the shop’s resident nutritionist Adrienne Kimberly. More details are online.

The global chain’s first Seattle location is even larger than its sizeable Bellevue sibling, but features the same steamed dumplings that diners line up for on the Eastside and beyond.
New food truck Napkin Friends started serving latke press sandwiches filled with the likes of five-day brined pastrami and roast chicken this week. Matzoh ball soup and Britt’s Pickles round out the menu. Check the truck’s location schedule online. E
