Bar Cantinetta is taking over the space formerly occupied by French bistro La Cote at 2811 E Madison St. Madison Valley News reports that owner Trevor Greenwood will open the doors of Bar Cantinetta after an interior makeover (complete with a new wine bar) is wrapped up, hopefully by the end of July. In addition to his forthcoming pasta-centric eatery, Greenwood operates Wallingford and Bellevue Cantinetta locations and Mercato Stellina Pizzeria in Bellevue.

In other news, Northgate’s Thornton Place (best known for its multiplex) will host a series of food trucks and live music on the fourth Saturday of the month all summer long. This Saturday’s Summerfest lineup includes homemade tamales from mobile eatery Taco Gol and dancing with Salsa instructors from the Century Ballroom. The event at 316 NE Thornton Place lasts from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
