As a brand-spanking-new resident of the totally awesome Highland Park neighborhood, I (much like Mike Seely) feel a certain duty to boast of all-things-West-Seattle. When friends would talk-up West Seattle, White Center, etc, I used to wonder what all the fuss was about (I was a diehard fan of everything above the Lake Union divide). Now, I understand. Part of my new routine as a resident of the area, is frequent visits to the West Seattle Blog. And whaddya know, today I click to find news of an ice cream and pinball joint opening up right on White Center’s main drag! It’s called Full Tilt, and will be serving gourmet ice cream (made with local and organic ingredients), hosting local bands, and displaying art. They promise to be a “new anchor for a revitalized White Center downtown.”

Awesome. I love my new neighborhood.
