1. After a couple of successful brunch and dinner dry runs, Skillet’s Ballard location will officially serve its first burger this Monday, August 12. The eagerly anticipated new space will be open from 7:00 am to midnight and seat 100 diners indoors with room for more on the patio.
2. Mobile Food Rodeo’s big ole Seattle Street Food Festival is this Saturday, August 10 at Cal Anderson Park in Capitol Hill. Highbrow and lowbrow eats from dozens of restaurants, food trucks and vendors will available, including oysters from Narwhal and burgers from Lil’ Woody’s. The event features a pop-up picnic dinner, kid’s area and night market. Tickets are online.
3. This Friday’s South Lake Union Block party features a Best Burger Competition, beer garden, and fare from food trucks and restaurants in the ’hood, including Cactus and Shanik.
