Waka Flocka Flame isnt a good rapper by anyones account, not even his ownthe Atlanta MC has flat out stated that hes not in the booth trying to goddamn rap big words. A common reaction to his music might be, What is this? But amidst gunfire sounds and shouts of bang and pow and Waka, the barrage of street-level aggression and undeniable I-dont-give-a-fuck presence will suck you in before you know what happened in hits like Hard In The Paint and No Hands. The heavy beats from Virginia producer Lex Luger, responsible for most of smash debut Flockaveli, bump and crash with an intensity matching the barely enunciated anthems. But for all that can be said about Waka Flockas lyricism, or lack thereof, its impossible to challenge its honesty. With Brick Squad, Meez, Sunny Red, BAYB. NICK FELDMAN
