Tunng, the British junk-folk duo of Sam Genders and Mike Lindsay, are a pleasant hybrid of Simon and Garfunkel fronting the Books and the Beta Band, where gentle pop melodies are woven into a smattering of odd/quaint instruments, recorded tape loops, and subtle electronics. On the absolutely flawless, recent stateside release of Good Arrows, the band has grown into a sextet, and it definitely comes through in the groups music, where more is always merrier. Do not miss this.
