Trick or Treat…Where’s Your Face?

Whose limb is it, anyway? Off-the-cuff horror-movie sendups in the Market

The joie de vivre of improv suits up for Halloween in Blood Squad’s latest ode to the holiday, Trick-or-Treat…Where’s Your Face? Unlike most thespian tributes to the spookiest time of year, here you’re allowed to laugh in the actors’ faces as randy teens get it on, random body parts fall off, and sinister plots with borderline incestuous overtones run rampant with imaginary fish hooks. The audience members title their own horror flick, and then snuggle with their respective dates while counting off the never-ending spoofs (I counted six in the first half-hour). As the cast facetiously juggles the antics of an “improvisational” sound engineer and lights man, the most hilarious moments come when the onstage choreography falls apart and the players have to muffle their own comic hysteria before carrying on. Ends Oct. 31.

Fridays, Saturdays, 9 p.m.; Wed., Oct. 31, 9 p.m. Starts: Oct. 5. Continues through Oct. 27, 2007
