The Tallest Man on Earth is also one of the most talented musicians in Sweden. Kristian Matsson whos not especially tall, physically, but certainly so in terms of confidence sings like a young Dylan, but with more gravel in his craw, and plays his acoustic guitar with an agile fingerpicking style and a firm knowledge of the Smithsonian Folkways catalog. Whether hes traveled through the Mississippi Delta in a car or just in his mind, Matssons got a surprising grasp of the regions folk-blues legacy and spirit, and his music is accordingly rich, a bit dark, and plenty soulful and compelling.
