Scream Club, the Trucks, Team Gina, Nicky Click

The sex-fueled electro lineup to end all

It’s true: Most people who go to the all-ages music venue the Vera Project are under 21. And most people who go to the Wild Rose are lesbians. If you don’t fall into either category, there’s a good chance you may have missed one or more previous performances by Scream Club, Team Gina, The Trucks, and Nicky Click. The former two are Olympia- and Seattle-based, respectively, lesbian electro/hip-hop duos who whip crowds into frenzies with their dance moves and dirty mouths. The Trucks are Seattle’s current reigning all-girl band, which doles out covert and not-so-covert sex and relationship coaching in their keyboard-driven indie rock. And Nicky Click, on Oly’s Crunk’s Not Dead record label, has shared stages with the likes of Lady Sovereign and ESG. Peaches, whose audacious performance art surely paved the way for each of the aforementioned, once sang, “I’m the kinda bitch that you wanna get with.” And you’ll want to get with the righteous, empowering vibes in this room. The Vera Project, Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St., 956-8372. $7-$8. 7:30 p.m. RACHEL SHIMP
