All four days of Folklife are packed full of dancing opportunities, from swinging at the Big Bamboo Ballroom to the delicate intricacy of Cambodian classical dancing on the International Dance Stage. One of the highlights this year will be the Polynesian program at McCaw Hall (the Na Lei O Manu’akepa troupe is pictured here). Forget Don Ho—real Hawaiian artistry is dramatic, powerful, and just a little bit scary. And on the 25th anniversary of the Mt. St. Helen’s eruption, it seems like a good idea to dance in honor of Pele, the goddess of the volcano. Seattle Center, 206-684-7300 or www.nwfolklife.org. for full schedule. Free. Fri. May 27-Mon. May 30.
