Conor Byrne is truly one of Seattles best kept secrets when it comes to discovering promising new local talents (most recently, the Head and the Heart got their start here). The warm brick walls and vintage fixtures of the gently weathered space exude the sort of ambience and acoustics that make it the ideal platform for singer-songwriters. Joseph Giant will undoubtedly sound lovely underneath Conors 14-foot ceilings; band leader Joe Syverson (formerly of the Final Spins) is a curiously compelling vocalist who spins lovelorn tales of doubt and redemption against a backdrop of furiously strummed, bright guitars.
