Not to be confused with International Pop Underground, K Records 20-years-strong series of singles (and one summit, in Olympia circa 1991), the L.A.-based International Pop Overthrow has been happening for a decade, and is coming back to Seattle, San Fran, and Vancouver for the second year of locals-heavy pop mayhem. Each of the four days costs $10, but then again, you get eight or nine bands per show, so thats a buck and change per band for an evening of hyper/sweet/jangly/stompy/fidgety/heartwarming/nerdy/melodic/precocious rock and roll. Players? Seattle pop darlings like Amateur Lovers, the Small Change, the Snakebites, We Wrote the Book on Connectors, and the Young Sportsmen.
