The local arts collective, known for feats of marathon performance, launches a new show at the Frye with an all-day outdoor happening in, around, and above the courtyard pool on Terry Avenue. The whole front of the museum has been wired with speakers, cables, and what appears to be a DJ’s station. The performance will also involve the roof somehow. And, to judge from the ongoing exhibit inside, Implied Violence: Yes and More and Yes and Yes and Why, there will be lots of cords, cables, restraints, repeated motions, and theatrical gestures that owe a lot to bondage dungeons. Ryan Mitchell and his buddies will surely subject themselves to an ordeal. Bring your umbrella and snacks if you have the strength to watch the whole thing. BRIAN MILLER
