When you think Japanese girl band, does your mind conjure images of the 5,6,7,8s? Four little doll girls with matching outfits and saccharine-sweet harmonies? Falsies on Heat smack that stereotype in the face with an iron mace, like four versions of Quentin Tarantinos Gogo Yubari, minus the schoolgirl uniforms (sorry, pervs), who use their amazing abilities to kick rock n roll ass. They of course look superhot, but give off the vibe that they care more about their music (power-pop punk with hints of Sleater-Kinney and Le Tigre) than the outfits they play it in. This, coupled with claims that they can drink anyone under the table, adds up to a gritty sexuality so palpable it could make Rivers Cuomo renounce abstinence. With Pris, Curtains for You, and the Broadcast Devut.
