Danielle Agami

Seattle is full of people who come from elsewhere, bringing their expertise and their enthusiasm with them—one of the latest arrivals is choreographer Danielle Agami. Trained in Israel in Gaga improvisation technique and an alumnae of the Batsheva Dance Company, she brings a kind of joyous intensity to her work that’s mirrored by the rest of her newly-minted company, Ate9. Their inaugural work is Sally Met Stu, where multiple versions of boy meets girl sits alongside generous helpings of hyper-kinetic play. The narration is quirky, but the dancing will knock you flat.
