“Sometimes critical mass can be too many boys. And sometimes that’s not empowering. Don’t get us wrong, we love Critical Mass. AND we want our own space too. We deserve it, damnit,” reads the explanation on the website of Clitoral Mass, a group of local female and trans bikers. Their second-Friday rides through downtown are a supplement to the more well-known Critical Mass rides on the last Friday of each month. Clitoral Mass welcomes all women-identified people to come learn their rights as a rider and ride with a kick-ass group. And even better: “People with funky outfits/glitter/moustaches/fishnets/tutus and tuxes strongly encouraged to attend.”
