Maybe it’s just the Mommy in me talking, but Ball of Wax #13 needs to have its mouth washed out with a bar of soap. And not some wimpy, floral scented crap from Bath and Body Works. I’m talking about holding its tongue out between your index finger and thumb and giving it the Silkwood treatment with a bar of pumice laden Lava. Levi Fuller’s usually clean compilation “works blue” as old comedians use to say, with a collection of songs that pay tribute to the late George Carlin and his seven words you can’t say on television (that’d be shit, piss, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, motherfucker and tits, for those of you too young to remember a time on TV before South Park or the Sopranos.) Some of the submissions on the “Parental Advisory” edition of this local anthology (yours free with the $6 show cover) were sought out, while others were created especially for the occasion (including for the first time, some of that naughty, naughty NW hip hop the kids like so much) but all are sure to be a hoot live.
