Artifakt is a loose collective of painters, toy-makers, sculptors, clothiers, DJs, MCs, and other creative rabble-rousers dedicated to making the city look and sound better. They’ve been doing it every month for the past two years, and to celebrate they’ve put together a show featuring the works of a platoon of visual artists and almost as many musicians, many of whom hail from our neighbor to the south, Portland. From drum-and-bass (Joe Nasty) to contemporary hip-hop tempered with a classic edge (DJ Wicked), the show promises to be all things to all people interested in experiencing a kaleidoscope of sounds amid a similarly colorful palette of images.
