You just gotta love mixing literary classics with a Mad Libs/Choose-Your-Own-Adventure improv approach, as Unexpected Productions (the team that brought you Seattles longest-running show, Theatresports) does in their holiday classic, A(n Improvised) Christmas Carol. For over 20 years, the cast has been taking audience suggestions for key aspects of the Dickens novella, from Scrooges profession to Tiny Tims affliction. (Perhaps Seasonal Affective Disorder would be most apropos for a Seattle version?) This famous story is ripe with great plotline/dialogue cues for the performers to use: You there, boy! What day is this?… No, seriously, we need a suggestion for a day.
