Elliene McKay directs a creation of Max Reichlin, a well-done and novel sort of play-within-a-play which channels three curious vignettes of imagination and moral wonder from somewhere out in our dark future. We are the audience of a stage post-apocalyptic and our scrappy local theater troupe strives to keep the art alive, performing while pedaling the generators that keep the stage lights burning. A delivery boy survives dangerous clients by spinning tales fantastic and freeing stories trapped within their houses; Foxy Populi, an ultra-personality from the media-soaked past, moves from glamour to riches and fame until she finally crashes into the wall of the loveless cluttered world she inhabits; and an inquisitive girl is taken to the worlds last amusement park for her birthdayElectriCity, now lit by candles.
