Bourbon is really, really popular. Like, so popular that many major distillers can’t make enough, especially the aged, specialty whiskeys that cost an arm and a leg. Of course, part of the reason for that is simple: bourbon is freaking delicious! Especially this Booker’s Single Barrel that I enjoyed at the end of a trip to Portland. Sipped in the noteworthy environs of the Multanomah Whiskey Library and watered down by a couple of ice cubes (since it’s a robust 125.6 proof!), it mixed vanilla sweetness with an orange aroma and a lighter mouthfeel than some bourbons.
