News that it took nearly eight minutes between the time a social worker called 911 to report that Josh Powell’s children were in danger and the time Pierce County deputies were dispatched — and then another 14 minutes for a deputy to get to the home — has touched a raw nerve. (See Seeingred’s Comment of the Day after the jump.) Wow. I know hindsight is 20/20, but I’m blown away how this dispatcher is arguing about and focusing on details that seem pretty irrelevant. I’m sorry, but every time I hear a 911 call, I’m always surprised by the tone of the 911 dispatchers.
